HSE trainings and medical examinations
One of the most important elements of building the awareness of health and safety at work are the introductory and periodic HSE trainings and medical examinations.
The medical examinations are not only a duty, but a privilege for the employee - very often they are one of the few occasions for a thorough checkup of the health condition. Preliminary examinations before the commencement of work, as well as preventive checkups during the course of employment are important, as they allow to diagnose illnesses of which the employee was unaware, or to diagnose an occupational disease at its early stage. Always undergo medical examinations according to requirements of your employer and the information contained in the referral document. Your health matters to us!
The HSE trainings are a vital educational element, which allows to maintain and shape the attitude of safety at work. During the introductory training you will obtain practical information regarding the risks associated with your job, information on how to give first aid, what to do in case of an accident, or on procedures regarding work at heights. Your supervisor at the construction site shall deliver an additional job-specific training, which will give you an insight on the specific nature of your duties and on how to perform them safely. Upon the expiry of validity of your introductory training, the employer shall refer you to a periodic, refresher HSE training which is an extension of the introductory one and is meant to update and keep current your knowledge in the field of occupational health & safety.
